Helpful Hint - 12/27/09

When starting off the year 2010 give yourself concrete and achievable goals to eliminate messy stress. A good start would be to attempt to pick up misc. items before bed or skipping the kitchen sink. Meaning, dishes go straight to the dishwasher. Maybe, Wednesday is dust day. Pick one goal and attempt to stick to it. As the year goes on that goal will become habitual and it will become easier to add other chores to your daily routine.

Good luck to you and your resolutions! Here's to a better, brighter and blessed new year! Happy 2010!

Introduction to a new outlook on life!

We have all been there, you know the time where you wake up to a house that looks like a tornado came through town, but somehow only affected the inside of your home. Your heart starts beating faster, you immediately start going through a thousand chores in your mind and then wonder where to start. Only to shut down and push off the mess for another day. Very well knowing that it will be there to great you the next morning. What stresses you out more? Knowing that you have a mess to clean or that it will be there tomorrow or the next day even the next.

Mess is stress! I would love to say I coined the phrase, but we all know nothing in this world is new. None of us have a new thought, ever! So I'll just say, I started this blog as an inspiration an guide for all, including myself.

I wont lie and say I was always so organized or clean. I noticed something about myself several years ago, not long after moving into my own place. I noticed that I would immediately feel overwhelmed and stressed out if my house was out of control or if I was disorganized.. You can only loose the same item so many times before you swear to never do it again and to get your act together. It was not long before I started making strides to become more organized and clean. After a while it just became a way of life for me.. kind of like eating lunch or brushing my teeth.

My goal in this blog is to help you help yourself by sharing helpful techniques that have helped me along the way. I hope that this blog brings you to a sense of peace we all need in this day and age. Please stay tuned for weekly updates on how to organize your home and life and eliminate messy stress.
